Welcome to Hannah Kate Home. Here you will find all things from delicious healthy (and indulgent) recipes, organisation, cleaning, self care, motherhood and everything in between.

I live in Far North Queensland, Australia and I am a first time mum to a beautiful baby girl. I wanted to start this blog for a creative outlet for myself and also to share my passion to help and inspire others. I am half Greek and half Italian, so food in our family, i guess you could say was our love language. My love for cooking definitely comes from my mum. I still have childhood friends say to me that they miss her cooking! To me, putting food on the table for my family is one of my favourite things to do, It brings everyone together, celebrates different cultures and keeps everyone connected.

I love to life life by the 80/20 rule. When it comes to diet & lifestyle, 80% of the time I make good choices and 20% of the time I can indulge without feeling guilty. The same applies to my home. 80% of the time I love to be on top of everything and up to date with the house work & chores, the other 20% of the time I know it’s okay for things not to be in order, or know when to have a lazy day watching Netflix and let it wait.

I have worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor, although my outlook on health and fitness has changed since then – especially since becoming a mum. I believe health and well-being is a lifestyle. There’s no magic number on the scales, there is no certain look that needs to be achieved, there is no certain size to fit into. Wellness to me is moving your body and eating well because you do it to FEEL good. There is nothing wrong with wanting to work toward a goal you have set for yourself, but we just need to remind ourselves that health from the inside comes first.
